Ice Scraper Challenge
Due to weather, the Ice Scraper Challenge has been cancelled for this year.
New locations! The Ice Scraper Challenge returns to Noel Night, but this year on Warren, adjacent to the Wayne State University Bookstore and Welcome Center! Watch students from Wayne State University and the College for Creative Studies transform blocks of ice into unique sculptural creations throughout the day and evening, all under the tutelage of the Ice Guru, Randy Finch.
Horse-drawn carriage rides are a fabulous way to get in the spirit of the season! We're excited to feature the campus of Wayne State University on this year's route. Tickets will be sold in a booth in front of Wayne State's Walter P. Reuther Library located at 5401 Cass right where Kirby intersects. Ticket prices: $7 / adults and $3 per children ages 12 and under.
LIVE ANIMALS OF THE NATIVITY
The Cathedral Church of St. Paul, one of the venues that has been participating in Noel Night since the beginning, is hosting its annual "Live Animals of the Nativity" on their Woodward lawn from 3:00-8:00 p.m. The Cathedral Church of St. Paul is located at 4800 Woodward.
The Wayne State University Woodward & Warren Park: Winter Art & Retail Market (WARM) will be located at the Wayne State University green space located at the southwest corner of Woodward and Warren. Wayne State’s Office of Economic Development, the James Pearson Duffy Department of Art and Art History (A&AH) and TechTown Detroit are partnering on this market that will feature local businesses and A&AH-affiliated artists. Then stop by the Noel Night Beer Tent sponsored by 8 Degrees Plato Detroit located next to the WARM Market!

Get ready for a rollicking romp around Midtown in this exhilarating scavenger hunt presented by the Wayne State University College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts! Your team of four or more will decipher clues that will lead you to five Noel Night destinations. At each destination, you'll take selfie pictures of yourself as proof of your "answers". The first three teams to cross the finish line with the most correct answers will receive a jolly pack of prizes.
Check-in at the southwest corner of Warren and Woodward Avenues! The reindeer roundup begins at 4:45 p.m. -- teams must be checked in by 4:55 p.m. to participate. The starting bells begin at 5:00 p.m.
